"Occurrence" stands for the number of file cards in which the same general iconographic typology appears
(eg "Marine animals", "Bovids", etc.). This highlights which types were used most frequently.
Each "iconographic typology" (which results from the queries relating to the next research step) is articulated according to the specific forms of each motif. This articulation is defined as "actualreal occurrence" and points out the percentage relative to the number of times a single seal is impressed on the cretula. It is from this second percentage that one can sort out how many times the same "seal's holder" / official accomplished the administrative transaction. |
