Seals from Crete

Besides the sealings from Haghia Triada (see documents), 16 seals from the Aegean area are kept in the Archaeological Museum, ranging from the Minoan Prepalatial to the last Mycenaean period. This florentine collection comes from acquisitions between 1906 and 1910 on Crete and Greece antiquarian market by the Director of the Museum Luigi Adriano Milani, with the exception of one seal (Inventary No. 85080) from Phaistos, given by the Crete Government to the Museum in 1911.
