Pithos

Inventory: without number
Provenance: Haghia Triada?
Material: clay
Shape: Three fragments of the upper part of a pythos with a big prominent edge
Measurements: cm. 19,5 x 24,6
Text's numbering: HT Zb 160
Inscription: Linear A inscription, engraved after cooking. Six well identified symbols: AB 3 - AB 59 - AB 01 - AB 51 - AB 29 - AB 27. According to the analogous signs in Linear B the following sequence may be obtained: pa-ta-da-du-pu2-re, of which the last part (du-pu2-re) seems known from two inscriptions from Palaikastro, painted on "libation tables" (PK Za 8 and Za 15), although the three signs are not so sure.
