The anatolian hill of Hisarlik, firstly digged by Schliemann, holds the archaeological site of Wilusa-(W)ilios-Ilion. The relation between Homeric Troy and Hittite Wilusa (firstly proposed by Forrer, Forsch. 1/1, 1926, 73ss) seems to have been proved by archaeological evidence linked with the epigraphic text CTH 76. (Korfmann, StTroica 11, 2001, 5, 36-49). [RGTC 6, 484-5; RGTC 6/2, 189]
