Lazpa was involved in the Western Anatolian raids by Piyamaradu, as we know from the “Manapa-Tarhunta’s Letter”: from there were deported the SARIPUTU men belonging to the King of Hatti. Lazpa is generally identified by the scholars with the island of Lesbos. [RGTC 6, 245-246]
